Casa di Vita / Armonia del Tempo Villa di Maser

€20.00

The exhibition HOUSE OF LIFE / HARMONY OF TIME (from a definition by Palladio), curated by Simonetta Gorreri, took place in the spectacular Villa di Maser, located in the famous Asolo hills area in the Treviso area. The Villa was designed and built in 1550 by Andrea Palladio and frescoed by Paolo Veronese. 20 national and international artists were invited to interpret the Palladian miracle in contemporary art forms. The exhibition also highlights the relationship between architecture and territory, in synergy with a study/research conducted by the Faculty of Architecture IUAV of Venice. The invited artists each chose the space to set their works then created ad hoc, and thus visible for the first time, inside the interior and in the park of the villa.

Photographic and video documentation of the exhibition is by Fabrica, a communication research center founded in 1994 by Luciano Benetton and Oliviero Toscani. Students of Toscani worked closely with the 20 artists to document the backstage process as well as the artworks. The photographs are published in this large format exhibition catalog. Graphic design by Fabrica.
